ABOUT
Janell Davidson, NBCR, Reiki Master
I am passionate about the healing possibilities our own bodies have to offer and
love what I do. I am a Board Certified Reflexologist, Reiki Master, and Certified EFT Practitioner. I received my reflexology certification through The Academy of European Reflexology,
but also studied extensively the Western philosophy and application of reflexology
with Seattle Reflexology, including addressing issues in relation to foot pain.
In addition, I have studied the correlation between reflexology and the meridians,
used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and use this theory in my practice. My Reiki Certification is through the Usui liniage, and my EFT training was with the Awakenings Institute. Lastly, I believe very strongly in the healing power of nature. Long before I was in the wellness field, I was a nature photographer and still am. Studies have proven that viewing peaceful images of nature can relieve stress and pain. So, naturally these two fields blend very well for me. To view my images please visit www.janelldavidson.com.
Ersdal Zone Therapy
Zone Therapy utilizes the ten zones within the body to activate the body's defense
systems. The practitioner triggers specific points within the foot and this sends
a signal to the corresponding organ, muscle, artery, or tissue area, through a reflex
arc, and up the spinal cord to the brain. Through the autonomic nervous system,
corrective signals are sent to the corresponding parts of the body. The focus of
Zone Therapy is that it covers the individual in the Entirety, as a whole person.
A sickness or disease involves not only part of the body where the symptoms are
located, but an imbalance of the whole. This is the theory that Ersdal Zone Therapy
is based on. Charles Ersdal was Medical Doctor from Norway who was returned to his
feet from paralysis using these techniques. His research detailed documentation
of thousands of case histories. He developed valuable information and knowledge
about how the innate signal system works and how it can be used in this therapy
with remarkable success. The Center for Alternative Medicine in Kristiansand, Norway
that Dr. Ersdal founded became famous not only in Europe but throughout the world.

Today's conventional Doctors are becoming more open to the idea of treating their
patients with alternative natural choices that will contribute to overall health.
Dr. Oz stated on the Oprah show that all the patients he performs surgery on get
a reflexology type treatment. Dr. Oz is vice chair of surgery and professor of cardiac
surgery at Columbia University. He directs the Cardiovascular Institute and is a
founder and director of the Complementary Medicine program at New York Presbyterian
Medical Center. His approach incorporates both traditional Western techniques for
treating disease and alternative methods that contribute to overall wellness.
